Why now is the right time to replace your old heating/cooling system…
With rising electricity costs, higher efficiency equipment can mean significant savings on your energy bill. The average savings for each point you go up in SEER rating is approximately 6%. And with your air conditioning generating nearly half of your summer energy costs, every bit of savings helps. The best news is that APS is currently offering rebates for high efficiency equipment. Check out the link below for detailed information regarding some amazing rebate opportunities!

Meet Terry Jaycox,
Owner of Jaycox Air Conditioning

The best way to understand what makes Jaycox Air Conditioning work, is to meet the man whose vision steers it… Terry Jaycox
How long have you been in the HVAC Industry?
I have worked in the HVAC field for 32 years. Thirty of those years were spent here at Jaycox Air Conditioning. I moved to Arizona after attending school at the Cleveland Technical Refrigeration Institute. My father Jack Jaycox, the first owner of the company, worked side by side with me and we built the business together.
What makes your job meaningful?
I feel a great sense of accomplishment in having the ability to provide my customers with comfort. I enjoy working with our customers and the challenge of figuring out how to meet their needs and work within their budget.
Having met the milestone of thirty years in business, what do you envision for the future?
I have so much optimism about where things will progress from where we are today. I have an amazing staff of dedicated people who share a common goal, meeting the needs of our customers. I am also fortunate to go to work and work with my family. My brother Dan and his son Jake are part of our team as well as my daughter Jolene and my son Patrick. And my father Jack still plays an active role in the business too. I am confident that next generation of Jaycox Air Conditioning leaders will continue in the quest for absolute quality customer service.

Cooling Season / Utility Savings
With energy costs at an all time high, it is imperative to take a proactive approach to managing your home energy costs. Jaycox Air Conditioning suggests using some of the following tips to lower your electricity bills this summer.
- Have your duct system tested and sealed by a BPI Certified Contractor
- Have your air conditioner and heat pump serviced to make sure it is operating at maximum efficiency.
- Check the attic insulation. Insulation repairs are often a worthwhile investment that quickly pay for themselves in savings.
- When replacing your existing heat pump, air conditioner or gas furnace, consider purchasing a unit with a SEER rating of 14.0 or higher. The higher the SEER, the greater efficiency you will get out of your investment.
- Cover your windows! Keeping the sun out can significantly reduce the temperature of your home.
- Change your filters on a monthly basis.
